The most well-known products of the plant are coagulants, chemical substances applied to treat water supplied to the water–pipe systems.

The plant produces them during over 70 years. An only kind of coagulant –aluminum sulfate - was originally produced in the amount of approximately 10 thousand t a year. During the period of 1955 to 1956 in order to meet the increasing demand of Mosvodokanal for coagulants the production was reconstructed by the resolution of the Moscow Council of National Economy and its capacity achieved 40 thousand t a year. The technological and technical solutions of this production were based on the plant’s developments that enabled later to bring the production capacity to 90 thousand t a year (the annual output maximally achieved in 1987 amounted to 103.5 thousand t).
In December 1999 the production of dry aluminum polyoxychloride of 20 thousand t a year, liquid and dry polymer mixtures of aluminum polyoxychloride and aluminum sulfate, liquid aluminum sulfate (up to 150 thousand t a year) and dry aluminum sulfate with Al203 content over 18% was commissioned.
Now several kinds of coagulants are produced and annual amounts of their production achieve many dozens of thousands tons. The most advanced one among them is already mentioned aluminum polyoxychloride manufactured in Russia only by our enterprise. Its application enables to get drinking water containing 0.05 to 0.1 mg/l of residual aluminum that is much lower as compared with the requirements of the World Organization of Health (WOH) - 0.20 mg/l.

CHEMICAL COMPOUNDS OF PRECIOUS METALSThe second line in the enterprise’s activities is the production of chemical compounds of precious metals (over 150 descriptions) used in power engineering, instrument making, electronic engineering, industry of communication facilities, jewelry industry, pharmacopeia and also in catalytic neutralizers of transport exhaust gases.
The most well-known application of such kind products is gold plated and silver-plated contacts in present-day electronic devices beginning from the expensive television and musical equipment up to the missile guidance systems and satellite and spacecraft control.
Many Muscovites noticed that the recently buses had began “emitting smoke” considerably less. That is also to some degree the accomplishment of JSC “Aurat”: chemical compounds of platinum and lladium produced by it are used in manufacturing exhaust gas neutralizers with which about 10 thousand of the Moscow buses are furnished now.
PRODUCTS OF COMPLEX ORGANIC CHEMISTRYThe fourth line is the manufacture of complex organic chemistry products used as components in dyers, catalysts, drugs and disinfecting means.

Two years ago the plant to produce ethyl ester of alfa-bromisovaleric acid – substance of the drastic cardiac medicinal preparation was commissioned having covered the country’s need in this preparation.
At the same time the production of excellent disinfecting means – clatrate of didecyldimethyl ammonium bromide with urea (DDDMAB) was mounted and commissioned. The compound causes perish of many microbes and viruses, including pathogenic organisms of tuberculosis, hepatitis, herpes, influenza, pathogenic fungi, AIDS and many other.
