  History

 1888
Hereditary Honourable citizen N.V.Lepeshkin has bought from peasants of village Degunino of the Rostock District of the Moscow Province 16 dessiatinas of land to establish the chemical plant. The merchant dynasty of Lepeshkin (natives of peasants of the Yaroslavl Province) was widely known in Moscow, in 1824 they founded the first chemical manufacture in the Serpukhov part of Moscow (the future Derbenevsky chemical plant), and one of representatives of this dynasty S.L.Lepeshkin was the Mayor in 1849-1856.

1889
The trading house "N.V.Lepeshkin and sons. Chemical plants in Moscow, Ivanovo-Voznesensk and at village Degunino" on November, 22nd, 1889 has obtained the permission from the Moscow Governor general of Grand duke S.A.Romanov for building chemical plant "for producing of salts, alkalis, pickles and other chemical products used in the industry and agriculture".

1889-1892
Under the direction of engineer R.F.Gartman the project has been developed and factory was build that manufactured sulfuric, hydrochloric acids and their chemical compounds for the needs of the textile industry for the factories of the Moscow, Ivanovo, Vladimir and Yaroslavl.

1914-1917
For the needs of defence of Russia production of sulfuric and hydrochloric acids was sharply increased, constructed and placed in operation production of nitric and picrin acids.

1919-1921
On February, 14th, 1919 the chemical plant has been nationalised and was named «State Deguninsky chemical plant» - the factory practically closed down because of deterioration of the equipment, absence of raw materials, fuel. Restoration of factory has begun and on November, 6th, 1921 the factory hooter calling workers for work again has sounded.

1922-1930
By 1924 the pre-war level of production (in money terms) has been reached, about 220 persons worked at factory. There have started the big works on expansion of the assortment of the production, including chemical compounds of metals of platinum group. In July, 1927 the factory was named after P.L.Vojkov (the permanent representative of RSFSR in Poland, died 07.06.1927ć.), henceforth it was called «the State chemical plant of P.L.Vojkov». In May, 1929 production of aluminium sulphate  on an advanced technology was started up the capacity of 10 thousand tons per year, and in June the plant supplied first coagulants  to the Rublevsky waterworks, and in the subsequent to other waterworks of Moscow water treatment system.

1931-1940
The volume of production of (sulfuric acid, copper sulphate, aluminium sulphate, cobalt, compounds.) fertilizers and reagents (including uranium) was increased.

1941-1945
In the Great Patriotic War the factory was reconstructed to produce output for the defense industry. By October, 15th, 1941 the factory has been stopped; the equipment, raw materials and the personnel was transferred on the East of the country  (Kemerovo, Novosibirsk), but on December, 10th, 1941 the vice-president of Council of National Commissioners of the USSR A.N.Kosygin has signed the Government Order obliging «to start production of the  coagulant from local clay at factory of Vojkov with its monthly supply of 1,5 thousand tons to Moscow Executive Committee of the City Soviet of People's Deputies ». In the end of December, 1941supplies of the coagulants for the needs of Moscow water treatment system has been renewed. Production of hand grenades RGD-33 and explosives for them, manufacture of chemical heaters and self-igniting fuel mixtures («Molotov cocktail») has been organized. In 1942-1944 for the needs of army annually was produced 2,5 million of manual grenades and 7 million pieces of chemical heaters, manufacture of the chemical products having defense value (over 150 items) has been organised.
More than 300 factory workers have left to army, 108 workers of factory have died on the fields of battles. Reactors, devices and units now were operated by yesterday's schoolgirls and housewives, members of families who have left to army, provided performance of intense army tasks, almost 350 factory workers have been awarded the State awards.
In 1942-1947 the factory was called «Factory ¹751 Narkomhimproma».

1946-1960
In post-war years manufacture of chemical reagents and especially pure substances actively develops, the Central factory laboratory is created. For satisfaction of growing requirements in coagulants in 1956 new manufacture of aluminium sulphate the capacity of 40 thousand tons per year has been started. Performance of reconstruction on the basis of own factory workings out has allowed to increase by 80th years its capacity to 90 thousand tons per year, on the basis of these workings out manufactures of coagulants in cities of Tolyatti, Sumy, Pologi have been constructed.

1961-1975
The factory becomes the specialised enterprise for manufacture of reagents and chemicals of complex organic synthesis. Various indicators, dyes, amino acids, carbohydrates on factory workings out in commonwealth with the Moscow scientists are produced in considerable quantities. For needs of the special industry the big tonnage of chemical compounds of reagents quality on the basis of chemical compounds of tin, copper, nickel, cadmium, zinc, cobalt were issued.

1976-1989
For satisfaction of needs of the industry of electronics, electrical engineers and communications factory experts has developed and mastered produce of 186 names of chemical compounds of precious metals of special pureness. The great attention is given to production improvement of quality. 99,7 % of the output production had the State Quality symbol by the year 1979, ten consecutive years, the plant is assigned Certificate of Quality. In assortment of output production was almost 2000 items. During reconstruction ecologically dangerous manufactures are removed, treatment facilities, manufactures of salts of tin and precious metals are under construction.

1990-1996
Due to sharp falling of demand for ordered reagents from universities, the scientific research institute, technical schools and schools, was closed and removed organic chemicals production.
In January, 1993 the chemical plant of P.L.Vojkov, has been transformed by one of the first in Moscow to joint-stock company "Aurat", and in november the Rospatent (Russian Patent Agency) has granted the certificate ¹123165 on a trade mark "Aurat".
In 1995-1996 was founded a new production in Russia Polyaluminium chloride(PAC) the capacity of 50 thousand tons per year (in the next years capacity was increased to 75 thousand tons per a year). Introduction of new generation of coagulants under trade mark «Aqua-Aurat ™ 10», «Aqua-Aurat ™ 14» and «Aqua-Aurat ™ 18» for potable water purification in Moscow and country regions has created conditions for maintenance of its quality at level of requirements of the Russian specifications and recommendations of the World Health Organization(WHO) in territory where lives over 35 million of Russians.

1997-2009
After a default of 1998 capacity of the manufacture of an ethyl ether of alfabrom isovaleric acid has been in a short period of time created and mastered, and at the Moscow pharmaceutical factory on the basis of this substance produce of Karvalol has been adjusted and Valoserdin has allowed to refuse import purchases of the specified medicines.
In 2000-2001 capacity on manufacture of detrate didecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide with urea – substances for produce of wide scale of disinfectants against activators of a tuberculosis, a hepatitis, a flu, a paraflu, a plague, a cholera, the Siberian ulcer has been created and mastered.
In 1999-2000 production of «Aqua-Aurat ™ 30» - solid PAC the capacity of 20 thousand tons per year has been constructed and started up that has allowed to transport this product in the far located areas of the country (Anadyr, Norilsk, etc.) and abroad (Turkey, Argentina).
In 2004 the factory on manufacture coagulants in Kostroma was bought and reconstructed, by 2009 productivity of this factory has grown in 4 times.
Now "Aurat" creates two plants of new kinds of high effective coagulants for treatment of potable and waste waters within the limits of the federal program «Pure water of Russia» with total amount of capital investments over 1 billion of roubles.
More than 10 years the Aurat renders the constant charity to help orphanages Protection Khotkovo and Boris-Glebskiy Anosina Stavropigialny female monasteries of the Russian Orthodox Church providing support for children left without parents, there now live 65 pupils.
